Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our on-site team in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet client and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable systems.

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high coding standards and best practices.

• Analyse and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly.

• Contribute to software architecture and technical documentation.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer or Developer.

• Strong knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).

• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and APIs.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
